I walked toward the river bank and there on the side of the trail was a cottonwood tree with branches hanging down.
Even though the weather is very cold and wintery, there was a soft, white seed that seemed to symbolize the following:
- Softness protects the life within until the perfect time to release it into the world.
- Storms may pass and winds may blow until the birth.
- Inside the seed, amazing growth, awakening, and creation is being nurtured.
I looked up the spiritual meaning to find the following description:
“Cottonwoods are associated with spiritual growth and awakening, prayers, blessings, purity, creation, truth (especially the seeing of truth), endurance, higher communication, hope, healing, rebirth, transcending fear, and living as an example to others”.
So it is!
